BLAST Slam 3 Group Stage Results
A hectic day of Dota 2 action has ended, with the entire Group Stage of Blast Slam III being played out in a single day. Each team played four Best of 1 matches, and have been seeded into the King of the Hill Playoffs according to their final standings.
Team Falcons and Tundra Esports topped their respective groups. Though their scores were tied with the second-place finishers, their head-to-head matchup victories landed them an easy spot in the Semi Finals.
Chinese Dota has also been quite impressive. Team Tidebound and Xtreme Gaming finished second and third in Group B, with the latter even taking the series against Tundra Esports after a neat 8,000 net worth deficit comeback.
The most surprising results were Team Spirit and Team Liquid, two top teams that are sitting with an abysmal 1-3 record. Despite both teams making the Grand Finals of a prestigious tournament recently, the two titans will face off in an elimination match to avoid the embarrassment of last place. Former teammates BetBoom Team and Aurora are also sentenced to the same fate.
Over the next five days, the 10 participants will compete in a King of the Hill format to try and win the largest share of the $1,000,000 prize pool. The Playoffs of Blast Slam III will run from May 7 to 11.
