OG Stares Down At Elimination - PGL Wallachia Day 2 Recap
Day 2 of PGL Wallachia Season 3 has ended, and things are starting to get spicy.
The highlight series of the day was Team Liquid taking on the newly-minted Aurora squad. It was a back-and-forth series with both teams pulling off comebacks, but Team Liquid showed better team chemistry to take the series in three maps.
Another epic match was Team Falcons versus Xtreme Gaming, mainly the second map. Team Falcons, as usual, stomped their opponents and built a 25,000 net worth lead. However, Xtreme Gaming did very well in punishing small mistakes, slowly chipping away at the gold lead and bringing the game back into their favor. Eventually, Ame and the crew won the map, showing great potential for the team moving forward. However, Team Falcons still sealed the series 2 - 1.
OGfaced Wildcard Gaming in the 1 - 1 pool, losing the series 2 - 1. In the two maps they lost, they didn’t stand a chance, as the North American representatives ended the games in 33 and 28 minutes.
By the end of Day 3, we will have our first two teams to advance to the Playoffs. Subsequently, we will also find out the two teams exiting the event in last place.
PGL Wallachia Season 3 is a $1,000,000 tournament held in Romania, Bucharest. The event will be played in a LAN format without a crowd. We’ll see Dota 2 action from March 8 to 16.
