Team Spirit Eliminate PARIVISION From BLAST Slam 3 Through Collapse's Magnus
Team Spirit are on a tear at Blast Slam III, eliminating one champion after another. After eliminating Team Liquid yesterday, they have taken down PARIVISION, sentencing the ESL One Raleigh 2025 winners to their lowest LAN placement this year.
Though the two-time TI winners bagged the victory, the series didn’t come for free. It was a long and drawn out series with Tier 5 items and huge comebacks.
In the first map, Yatoro picked up his unique Clinkz carry, while 9Class went for his typical “ratty” Riki. Both teams found pickoffs on the map, which extended the game. The game-changing fight occurred at the 50-minute mark at the Roshan pit, where Team Spirit outplayed PARIVISION to take the lead, and eventually the game.
Map 2 was a great start for Team Spirit. Though they typically convert early leads into clean victories, this second map wasn’t the case. Satanic had a completely free Morphling game, and Team Spirit’s draft lacked a lot of damage to PARIVISION’s Tinker and Aura spam, keeping the series level.
The decisive map is another gentle reminder that Collapse shouldn’t be given Magnus – the hero that won Team Spirit their first TI. PARIVISION built up a 14,000 net worth lead at the 24-minute mark, but Collapse pulled off a miraculous Reverse Polarity on three heroes, turning the game around.
After this fight, it felt like the entire momentum of the game had shifted in favor of Team Spirit off the back of more plays from Collapse. After 52 minutes of play and Divine Rapiers being purchased, Team Spirit bagged the win and eliminated two of the best teams in a row.
PARIVISION exit BLAST Slam 3 in 7th - 8th place, while Team Spirit continue their run and will face Team Tidebound in another elimination match.
Blast Slam III is a $1,000,000 event held at BLAST Studios in Copenhagen, Denmark. The King of the Hill Playoffs format is used, meaning one loss and you’re out.
