Puppey: "Chinese players only dream of streaming"
Team Secret captain 🇪🇪Clement "Puppey" Ivanov, during the broadcast of The Lima Major on the Gorgc channel, discussed why the Chinese region has given up lately. Esports players are leaving for the big money in streaming.
According to Clement, the streaming market in China can bring an Esportsman with a ready fan base much more revenue than winning championships. At the same time, the player doesn't need to devote a lot of time to training and stay away from home for a long time.
Recall that in 2021, Dota 2 departed from a system with a lotn of large championships to the DPC Regional Leagues. The prize money for leagues is $280,000 for 2 divisions and $500,000 for majors.
