Three Team Aster players tested positive for COVID-19
Team Aster from China published an open letter on Weibo revealing that 3 team members, coach, and manager have tested positive for COVID-19.
The list of those infected includes Du "Monet" Peng, Lin "Xxs" Jing, and Ye "Borax" Zhibiao, team coach Jiang "天命" An, and manager Cheng "Mad" Han. The letter said they had all gone into self-isolation.
The organization also noted that it is in dialogue with Valve about a possible solution to the problem. The team's participation at The International 10 is in jeopardy. We'll receive more information to disclose after the compromise is found.
Team Aster revealed that all Chinese teams were in the same hotel and communicated with each other. All teams took the tests. Thus, PSG.LGD and Vici Gaming are tested negative, while Elephant and Invictus Gaming results are still pending.
The International 10 starts in 8 days, on October 7, and will last until October 17. The tournament is in Romania and features 18 teams from different regions to compete for the champion title and a prize pool of $40,018,195.
